I'm curious as to what the story of
River of Blood is. The second album from lo-fi folk artist Little Kid (even though there is an incredible lack of lo-fi in this record) is filled with dark and mysterious religious metaphors. Occurring themes of this record. Needless to say, the songwriting on this album captivates and makes me curious as to what the purpose of them are. The atmosphere here is top notch too, the performances from Little Kid create a world of pain rather it's the pain filled vocals that broom on each track or the slower and darker instrumental work. It's an album with a lot to say and if you're willing to listen, you won't regret it.
