Shakey Graves - Roll The Bones [Folk/Country/Lo-Fi]

Shakey's fursona is a cow!
I've been suggested by someone in my really old survey to stop acting like I'm super small as it makes me look desperate. So yeah... gonna stop doing that. Anyways; Shakey Graves has made quite the name in the underground scene for packing an excellent voice, having incredible live performances, and making country music that doesn't suck. While I myself prefer his more cleaner sounding stuff (And The War Came) you can't diss his classic lo-fi work like Roll The Bones.

While it's hidden behind the layers of noise, Shakey Grave's vocal talent is a driving force on this album; Serving as a quiet, but powerful driving force that give each track on this album a small burst of life. Totally recommend checking it out! You can stream, download, or buy Roll The Bones here. If you like what you hear, consider supporting Shakey Graves by throwing a few coins his way or by purchasing his debut album And The War Came located on his bandcamp page. You can also share this album with your friends! They like country-ish stuff, right? Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Main Attrakionz - 808s & Dark Grapes II [Cloud Rap]

The future is heeeeeereeee
You hear that? That's the sound of the future of hip hop. What is the future you may ask? Why, that's just the dankest trap shit you'll ever hear. Ever. Like, 2dank4you m8. You can't even handle this. Actually, scratch that... you can't EVEN right now. That's right, it's so mighty that you can't even. What does that even mean? I don't know! Like, I don't even do drugs, but I feel like blowing a thousand blunts, doing a thousand hoes, and raining all those stacks when I hear this blissful shit. Why are you still reading this? Why aren't you getting this dank ass tape? Seriously. What is wrong with you?

STELLAR YOUNG - VESSELS [Rock]

I don't wanna start again...
Stellar Young are one of those bands that you expect to hear on mainstream radio stations, but for some odd reason are hidden in the dark corners of the internet and unknown by many. Or at least, that's what I get from Stellar Young as I listen to their latest effort VESSELS. Which is an excellent romp through the fun side  of alternative rock music. Stellar Young have quite the ear for catchy music and carry quite a number of infectious sounds under their belts with fun poppy arrangements and infectious hooks. It's certainly an album worth sharing, because these guys deserve all the attention they get.

You can stream, download, or buy VESSELS here. If you like what you hear consider supporting Stellar Young by throwing a few coins their way or by purchasing a physical copy of their album located on their Bandcamp page. You can also share this album with your friends! Yeah. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Kairon; IRSE! - Ujubasajuba [Shoegaze/Post Rock]

Brought to you by Kool-Aid, the drink of all demons everywhere!
How do you even pronounce this album? Ujubasajuba... yew-jah-ba-saw-jew-ba? Something like that? I don't know, but it doesn't matter that much because this is a blog for good music! Not album titles! At least, I hope the music on here is good. No one really tells me otherwise if it's good or not so I don't really know what the quality of some of the alb-ANYWHO.

Ujubasajubadabdabdb is an album that generated a lot of buzz in the underground music scene last year for being a very unique album in the post-rock/shoegaze scenes and eventually being met with an incredible amount of positive acclaim. This of course makes sense as this is an excellent contribution to the genres and is an all around outstanding album. With beautifully laid out melodies, barrages of vocal bliss, and other buzz words that come to mind; this is an album that is a must listen.

You can stream, download, or buy Already Including Bass (As according to a google translate) here. If you like what you hear, consider supporting Karion by throwing a few coins their way. You can also share this album with your friends! They like long, beautifully made post-rock songs... right? Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

The Jeffries - The Demon of Frenchman Street [Baroque Pop/Beatles Worship]

Now I feel alive
Have you ever wondered what it would sound like if The Beatles and The Beach Boys solved spooky murder mysteries together? No, I am not high. This is the basis of The Jerffries concept album The Demon of Frenchman Street. In which we get  story of a retired detective taking on the case of catching the serial killer known as The Demon. I won't give any spoilers to the story though, since you can just listen to it yourself.

What really sells such an odd concept is the production of the album, brimming in throwback Beatles and Beach Boys sound; the poppy and upbeat instrumentals of this album are infectious, which makes each track simply enjoyable. Even if the narrative itself is a little short in it's own right. You can stream, download, or buy The Demon of Frenchman Street here. If you like what you hear, consider supporting The Jeffries by throwing a few coins their way. You can also share this album with your friends, they'll probably think you're high if you bring up "the beatles and beach boys solver murder" though. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Little Kid - River of Blood [Folk/Alternative]

I'll only love you 'til it hurts...
I'm curious as to what the story of River of Blood is. The second album from lo-fi folk artist Little Kid (even though there is an incredible lack of lo-fi in this record) is filled with dark and mysterious religious metaphors. Occurring themes of this record. Needless to say, the songwriting on this album captivates and makes me curious as to what the purpose of them are. The atmosphere here is top notch too, the performances from Little Kid create a world of pain rather it's the pain filled vocals that broom on each track or the slower and darker instrumental work. It's an album with a lot to say and if you're willing to listen, you won't regret it.

You can stream, download, or buy River of Blood here. If you like what you hear, consider supporting Little Kid by purchasing a physical copy of the album or by throwing a few coins his way. You can also share this album with your friends! They like religious themed music, right? Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Monster Machismo - Aye Aye Porcupine [Math Rock]

Going back to the drawing board...
Someone once described Monster Machismo's sound as "an acid trip serenade from an angel with a throat infection" and "a schizophrenic masterpiece," and I'm inclined to agree that Monster Machismo is indeed both of these things, but please do not make the mistake that this band isn't good and that these are bad things. On the contrary, its these very things that make Monster Machismo a one-of-a-kind band that would be a shining beacon in the math rock world if they would release more material.

While the vocals may be hard to get into on a first listen because again, Dan Drake is like an angel with a throat infection, once you begin to get used to his rough, unwelcoming strains you begin to see he is quite the formidable vocalist with excellent power behind his tight strains. Backing him are a band with amazing technical skills such as complex , capable drumming and guitar work throwing out beautiful melodies and catchy hooks that find their way through the madness from time to time. Only five tracks and only 18 minutes in length, this is an EP with breathtaking performance and an essential in the math rock genre.

You can stream, download, or buy Aye Aye Porcupine here. If you like what you hear, consider supporting Monster Machismo by throwing a few coins their way. You can also share this album with your friends, because they will totally dig that album cover. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Cloudkicker - Little Histories [Instrumental/Metal]

A humble addition to Ben Sharp's stellar discography...
Cloudkicker is the monkier of multi-instrumentalist Ben Sharp, an outstanding musician who's growth over the years since beginning the Cloudkicker project is matched by his eye for stellar composition incorporating the best of modern metal and post rock. Little Histories, Sharp's latest, only continues to showcase his outstanding talent in a solid and diverse collection of tracks filled with the catchy riffs and hooks of metal and the dramatic scores and sweeping atmospheric melodies of post-rock.

Chameleon and Digital Lighting come forth as the shining light in Little Histories; Chameleons calm and slow melodies that lead into an earth-shaking outro is a satisfying and captivating track and Digital Lightning's hard hitting energetic grooves and textures are awe-inspiring to say the least. The rest of the tracks, while shorter, do provide some good atmosphere building and are calming to listen to, which overall makes Little Histories an excellent addition to Sharp's already versatile and impressive discography.

You can stream, download, or buy Little Histories here. If you like what you hear, consider supporting Ben Sharp by purchasing a physical copy of Little Histories (which comes with a few bonus tracks) or by throwing a few coins his way. You can also share this album with your friends, because they need some sweet, sweet instrumental rock in their library. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

German Error Message - The Lifting [Lo-Fi/Folk]

Keep listening...
German Error Message is an excellent artist. While he is a new discovery for me, I'm nonetheless impressed by the stunning atmosphere and melodies that he can create, I  mean, just look at that album artwork; Even that in itself is intriguing! The Lifting has a lot of emphasis on subtle warm and soft arrangements hiding around in loud, sorta sloppy sounds. But that doesn't slow the album down in the slightest, German Error Message pulls the album forward with energy and emotion with his hurt-filled vocals and piano leads that occupy the majority of tracks. It's a great album to spin late at night when you just want to kick back and feel a little down.

You can stream, download, or buy The Lifting here. If you like what you hear consider supporting German Error Message and his projects by throwing a few coins his way or by purchasing physical copies of his work located on his merch page. You can also share this with your friends! They like slow, piano filled music, right? Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Red's Garden - Outcast Love [Electronic/Folk]

Outcast Love cover art
I am literally the worst blogger ever...
Eyyyy, I'm not dead. I'm just the worst blogger ever. I apologize for all my neglect so here is a free album for you people. I didn't make it, I just found it on the back page of Bandcamp....yeah. Outcast Love is a down-tempo, folk inspired album by producer Red's Garden. The production of the album is laid back, slow and chill with an interesting mixture of sounds that give an added flair of depth and personality. Guitars, violins, ambient sounds, and so on. Go get it.

You can stream it or buy it or you know how this works. I'll try to update at a competent level. Bye.

Valere - Weary Eyes EP [Alt Pop]

I don't know what love is...
Weary Eyes! This cute little EP from Valere takes influences from soul and synth pop and slams them together in a fun little EP. I really dig the progression on this EP. Starting off with really bubbly, cutesy sounds and performance despite some more sadder lyrics. Then it slowly begins to slow down and strip away it's glossy synth pop production for a really powerful piano ballad before finishing with a more melancholy but upbeat pop track that finishes the EP off with a strong note.

Theres not much more to say about this EP other than give it a spin, while it certainly doesn't do anything new, what it does show is a fun and strong EP worth the download. You can stream, download, or buy Weary Eyes here. If you like what you hear consider supporting Valere by throwing a few coins her way. You can also share this with your friends! Because they love pop, right? Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Knuckle Puck - The Weight You Buried [Pop Punk]

I'm lower than the dirt...
These guys have gotten pretty popular lately, singing onto Rise Records and having a semi-popular EP release last year it seems like this band is a shoe-in for the next big thing in pop punk. Even though that isn't saying much. Four tracks (along with two acoustic ones) of high pop punk energy with excellent delivery and banging instrumentation. A must have for anyone looking to expand their pop punk taste. You can stream, download, or buy The Weight That You Buried here. If you like what you hear consider supporting Knuckle Puck by throwing a few coins their way or by purchasing their newest EP While I Stay Secluded. Also share this with people, or don't. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Thriftworks - Fade/Fader/Fadest [Electronic]

Dope.
Trying to call all three of the albums in Thriftwork's trilogy is cheating because they all sound the same. Ok, that's an exaggeration. Almost all of the songs in this trilogy have distinct sound to them, but they all follow very similar themes and structures that make them sound one of the same. But that's also not really a bad thing, because this trilogy is actually pretty dope. Dark and soothing with pulsating basslines, stabbing drums, angelic vocal chops, and samples that please the ears Thriftworks trilogy of albums are a must listen. Even if that means you have to dig through each of them to find the stand out tracks.

You can stream, download, or buy the Fade/Fader/Fadest trilogy here, here, and here. If you like what you head, consider supporting Thriftworks by throwing a few coins his way or by purchasing his earlier releases located on his bandcamp page. You can also share these albums with your friends! Just don't do it today, because they may think you're trying to pull a fast one on them. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Vince Vaccaro - March of the Sun [Alternative/Folk]

I would add a lyric, but I'm talking to someone and can't find any lyrics...
This album is chill. Vince Vaccaro, a singer/songwriter dude makes a lot of nice acoustic folk tunes that brim with plenty of alternative sounds and instrumentals that are a pleasure to listen to. I need to think of a joke I can pull on all 2 readers of this blog for April Fools. Don't know what to do yet, but I'll figure it out.

You can stream, download, or buy March of the Sun here. If you like what you hear consider supporting Vince Vaccaro by throwing a few coins his way or by purchasing his other albums located on his bandcamp page. You can also share this album with your friends! They like alternative folk stuff. I know they do, because they read this blog. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3
