:( - Kawaii [Nintendocore]

Kawaii cover art

What is Nintendocore you ask? Well, it's a style of music that fuses 8-bit compositions akin to that of the NES and hard rock, screamo, or punk elements. I kinda wish I was making this up, but on the other hand when listening to :('s album Kawaii I decide that maybe it does need a purpose. Now unlike most Nintendocore acts :(, however you pronounce that, take a less abrasive approach to their sound. While the punk noise is still prevalent in certain tracks this album is devoid of the harsh screaming that the genre is associated with, so that's a plus.

Also, good news. The group is pronounced "colonopenbracket" just putting that out there. As for the album, the vocals of the tracks are both auto-tuned and vocoded to maintain an 8-Bit style to it, which helps keep it immersed with the actual chiptune music instead of it being a back drop like other bands in the genre usually have it. While not the most impressive of albums, it's still interesting and has it's moments with certain tracks. Its easily worth a quick listen.

You can stream, download, or buy Kawaii here. If you like what you hear, consider supporting :( by throwing a few coins their way, like the little 8-bit coins in the Mario games, you know what they look like. You can also share this album with your friends, because punk and chiptune is cool. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Bop Skizzum - Propeller [Funk/Pop Rock]

Propeller (E.P.) cover art
So she's never giving in....
Let's get groooooovy. Stumbled upon this group when seeing if The Flobots had their own bandcamp page. Bop Skizzum is an 8 piece funk pop group that has heavy focus on a soul vocal/riff heavy relationship. The chemistry in the album is clear, each and every individual provides a layer of depth to each track in a smooth motion and vocalist Andy Guerreo's multiple vocal styles only further makes each track interesting. Also on the album are The Flobots, P2P, Jeff Valentine, and other guests who provide vocals or other instrumental work to only further get them groovy vibes going on like Donkey Kong.... or something.

Anyways, you can stream, download, or buy Propeller here. If you wish to support the group consider throwing a few coins their way or to follow the suggested 7 dollars for EP and 1 dollar a track as said on their page. You can also share this with your friends, because parties I guess. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Birthday Boy - Colors [Alternative/Pop]

Colors EP cover art
Happy birthday to whoever's birthday it is today...
This is a pretty interesting EP. Not interesting as in hospital themed surf rock, but more as in the album cover is weird. As for the music though, because this is a blog about music and not weird album covers, the music is pretty chill. It's a mixture of more bare bones electro pop with a falsetto vocalist, which is always a joy to listen to for anyone who remembers Mystery Skulls. It's also pretty funky... I'm not really sure what else to say about it. I have a really awful migraine right now and it's making it kinda hard to focus. All I'm trying to say is to check this EP out, it also has a track with freeze beat vocal cuts, which is a personal favorite of mine. Blegh... I'm going to lay down for a bit.

You can stream, download, or buy the EP here. Throw coins, support the artist, pirating is wrong or something. Word of mouth, tell your friends, don't do drugs. I'm going to sleep now.

Goonies Never Say Die - No Words To Voice Our Hopes and Fears [Post-Rock]

We will live forever...
I've neglected to showcase a lot of post-rock on this blog mainly because it's a genre I very much despise. Why that is, since I think you guys care about what I think about stuff is because it's a genre that I find to be very uninspired. The big names of the post rock industry, Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, God is an Astronaut, Lights & Motion, and more of the like all sound disturbingly similar in their style of progressive bubble gum string scoring and over the top cinematic exercising. Add that with a constant flow of copy cats and you have one of the most over saturated music markets since EDM.
That said, there will be times where I will stumble across an album that I feel like it sets itself up in such an incredibly original or unique way that it instantly over shadows all of it's competition in the genre. And that my friends is where No Words to Voice comes in, a post-rock album from Deep Elm's catalogue by the group Goonies Never Say Die, this is truly an album that doesn't sound or play like any other in it's industry. Not only that, but it manages to create a chaotic, dark, and beautiful record that's worth all the while.
Mixtures of distorted synths with the ever calming progression of pianos, guitars, and other instruments of the matter create atmospheres of many colors and emotions. All while containing a cinematic feel that the genre has, but still it manages to keep itself grounded with a focus on more humble compositions than over the top ones. This is an album that truly speaks for itself upon your first listen, and only continues to up the ante by each track until it reaches it's beautiful conclusion ten tracks in. If Goonies Never Say Die isn't the most promising band of the post-rock industry, I really don't know who is.
You can stream, download, or buy No Words here. If you like what you hear consider supporting the group by throwing a few coins their way. You can also share this album with your friends, they probably need a breath of fresh air in their post rock world. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Ghost Hospital - Ghost Hospital [Surf Rock]

Ghost Hospital cover art
2spooky4me...
I don't know how I found this exactly, but it's pretty chill so I'm glad I did. From what I can gather this album explores to the floors of a spooky ghost hospital with a fun mix of surfer rock and the sounds your speakers make when you put a microphone by them. That doesn't sound too appealing? Well too bad, you're here for free music and you're going to like it you cheap son of a bitch. While it may not sound the most appealing of albums it is actually a really fun album that completely twists the surfer rock image and perverts it with a lot of oddities. Totally worth a listen!
You can stream or download Ghost Hospital here. If you like what you hear then download it, because I'm not entirely sure where you can go to support these guys. You can also share this album with your friends, because it's actually pretty great. Just remember, a little word of mouth goes a long way! Just watch out for spooky ghost hospitals guys. <3

The Polish Ambassador - Pushing Through the Pavement [Funk/Electronic]

Pushing Through The Pavement cover art
Who's ready to rage...
Kids, remember to stay in school. Just because electronic producer The Polish Ambassador was able to find success in production rather than marketing while in college doesn't mean that you should do the same. The reality of life is that most of you probably won't be as cool as The Polish Ambassador, sorry. Now that you're all sad from your ruined dreams, allow me to introduce you to Pushing Through The Pavement which is the reason why you will never be as cool.

Well there I am again, pouring more salt in your wounds. Anyways, Pushing Through the Pavement is an electronic fusion album that combines many different elements and genres of music rather it's jazz, latin, soul, and more from a large array of styles set to an electronic backbone of mainly the break beat style of electronic music. This album also features many different collabs from vocalist, rappers, and instrumentalists who give new life to the tracks of the album that truly sets it apart from other albums for it's insane unique nature. If you're feeling a little bit better about the sad reality that you will never be cool, how about you go on ahead and pick up a copy of this album? It will make you feel better.
You can stream, download, or buy Pushing Through the Pavement here. You can support The Polish Ambassador with his projects by purchasing a physical copy of the album or by throwing coins at his other projects. You can also share this album with your friends, because they gotta hear these pretty sick beats. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Nanobii - Atlantis Lovestory [Electronic]

Forever, you and I tonight...
Nanobii is more well known for his incredibly fast pace and over the top happy hardcore style of electronic music, so this track came as a little surprise when it was released because of how slow and laid back it is compared to the rest of Nanobii's discography. Atlantis Lovestory is a progressive track that I can't really tack a genre on because it's a pretty unique on in it's own right. The synth work in the track truly captures a wondrous and floaty feeling with a series of bouncy and colorful progressions. The vocoder work in the track is also very nice, setting off a lot of chill vibes with the track. It's a nice little comforting track that is worth picking up.

You can stream, download, or buy Atlantis Lovestory here. You can support Nanobii by throwing coins his way or by supporting his official release on Monstercat Media. You can also share this song with your friends, but you should probably keep his Elsanna fetish to yourself, because your friends will probably think you're weird. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Caligula's Birthday Party - Blooming, Buzzing Confusion[Alternative/Rock]

Blooming, Buzzing Confusion cover art
Blast off...
I've been posting too much sad stuff on here, let's get something a little more cheerful. Caligula's Birthday Party is a four piece math rock group from Indiana with colorful string arrangements and more upbeat instrumental leads that create relaxing melodies. Their debut EP Blooming, Buzzing Confusion is a great one. Even though it only contains 3 tracks, all of them fit comfortably side by side without one over powering the other.

The mix of skittering percussion with quiet vocals and poppy leads create an incredibly calming EP that is great for anyone who is looking for something to help calm their nerves.

You can stream, download, or buy Blooming, Buzzing Confusion here. If you like what you hear consider supporting the band by throwing a few coins in their way or by purchasing the group's brand new EP located on the same page. You can also share this album with your friends, maybe they need something to calm down? Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Pharoahe Monch - Lost In Translation [Rap]

Pharoahe Monch for those who aren't aware is an underground rapper who has gained an incredibly strong following for his complex lyricism and delivery mixing with soul, jazz, and rock instrumentals. For the past 15 years as an artist he has released an extensive catalogue of music that has been met with overwhelming critical acclaim. Come Valentines Day, Pharoahe Monch released Lost in Translation which is a 12 track compilation of previously released singles, unreleased tracks, collabs, and a brand new track that range over the course of his 15 year career.
This compilation features an extensive mix and showcase of Pharoahe's skill as a rapper. With plenty of killer and creative lines with a fine blend of smooth rock and jazz instrumentals create an incredibly unique listening experience. Along with this album comes collabs from multiple soul vocalists, rappers, and vocalists that are too great on their own. Rather you're a fan of Monch or haven't heard of him this is a compilation worth spinning.

You can stream, download, or buy Lost In Translation here. If you like what you hear consider supporting Pharoahe Monch by throwing a few coins in his way or by purchasing his new album PTSD located on the same page. You can also share this album with your friends, because everyone needs to listen to this guy anyways. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

The Ska-Skank Redemption - Wicked Bees [Ska-Punk]

I'm sorry Milhouse, you just lost in the best band name contest. No hard feelings, still love you guys. So The Ska-Skank Redemption are a ska-punk sextet formed in Middle of Nowhere, North Dakota. With a mixture of more straight forward rock music with their main brass instrumentation serving as backing foundation instead of serving as main attraction. Wicked Bees if a fun little ska-punk EP with enough catchy brass arrangements and rock riffs to keep your attention. Definitely worth checking out more than anything else.

You can stream, download, or buy Wicked Bees here. If you liked what you hear consider supporting the group by purchasing a digital album or a physical album for 5 dollars. You can also share this album with your friends, because everyone deserves to check out the best band name on earth. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Clipping. - Midcity [Experimental/Hip-Hop]

Don't say nothing...
Clipping. is one of the more interesting experimental hip-hop groups of the last few years. Instead of including abstract song writing to fit the abstract nature of their music Clipping. combines mainstream song writing with expressive and artistic production. The production of this album combines elements of industrial and harsh noise, which while it may be alarming for most listeners upon their first browse they'll eventually become adjusted to it. At least, that's how it went with me.

There isn't that much for me to say about this album aside from it being an interesting and insightful record set to the beat of the noise your television makes when it's on a dead channel. If this doesn't interest you then you can probably skip this one, but if you think that sounds pretty rad than you should grab yourself a copy.

You can stream, download, or buy Midcity here. If you liked the album, consider supporting Clipping. by purchasing their album CLPPNG located on their Bandcamp page or by throwing a few coins their way. You can also share this album with your friends, because they like TV noise... right? Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Hot Lemon - Spit Chris EP [Alternative]

Pretend there is a quote from a song here...

Happy valentines day readers! I wish I had an actual love album to post today in honor of this day of love, but I couldn't find one. So deal with some moody alternative album instead, losers. I honestly have no idea what the significance of this EP is for me. All I do know is that it's been sitting in my bookmarks menu for months and only now have I noticed that it's been there. So in celebration of this album hiding from my radar for months I have decided to share it with everyone!

Spit Chris is a more laid back type of EP with a variation of different styles and genres that create an incredibly fun record. My personal preference comes from the more traditional styles of music with the emphasis on catchy hooks and groovy leads. There are also some slower songs for those who prefer them instead, but being slow is just boring. We need to party on this special day because I'm at least 80% most of us here are alone today.... uh... Happy Valentines Day!?

You can stream, download, or buy Spit Chris here. If you liked this EP consider helping out Hot Lemon with their work by throwing a few coins their way or by supporting their previous releases. You can also share this album with your friends, everyone needs a good Valentines Day present. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Wayne Szalinski - Fondly Truly [Alternative/Pop Rock]

I won't forget what you did...
Wayne Szalinski has this album tagged as "cute" on their store page, to which I reply "lol." This album isn't cute, sorry to disappoint anyone who is looking for something cute, maybe I'll get something cute for the next post. Anyways, this album is an interesting one to say the least. To say the most this album graces it's listeners with quick, upbeat technical rock in a bubblegum style with clean and polished instrumentation much like CHON.

Though what separates the two and makes Fondly Truly an engaging EP is the group's vocalist. Who has a very distinct power that makes him hypnotizing to listen to. It's like a mixture of whine with refined crescendo that makes him a driving power in the already energetic instrumentation surrounding him. The songwriting is also pretty nice, though I wouldn't call it anything spectacular there are still moments of good writing present here and there.

You can stream, download, or buy Fondly Truly here. If you like what you hear consider supporting Wayne Szalinksi by throwing a few coins their way or buy purchasing their brand new debut album Black Mirror on their Bandcamp page. You can also share this album with your friends, who will enjoy the pretty picture of the flowers and then be reminded by the songs that they will probably die alone. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

ProleteR - Rookie EP [Jazz/Hip-hop]

Half empty? Naw, the glass is broke...
I already mentioned it in my showcase for Haywyre's TwoFold album, but introducing jazz music to electronic music is simply the best idea since sliced bread. ProleteR, a french hip-hop instrumentalist further took electronic and jazz and smashed them together in an orgasmic mix of rag-time jazz and electronic hip-hop instrumentals that only adds a whole new layer of depth to both genres of music.

ProleteR offers an eccentric album fully stuffed with smooth and funky blends of choppy brooding vocals, pianos, saxophones, and basslines on top of crisp drum beats. The album also features a collaboration with rapper Taskrok who offers a fun and mighty spin to the instrumentals only further enriching the listener's experience.

You can stream, download, or buy Rookie EP here. If you liked Rookie EP consider supporting ProleteR with any and all future projects by throwing a few coins his way or by purchasing his previous albums. You can even share this album with your friends, because there is no way in hell that they could listen to Stereosun and then say they aren't impressed. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Human Hands - s/t lp [Emo/Hardcore]

Force fed...
Ok, so I have been tagging a lot of albums with "Emo" lately on this blog. Though I haven't showcased a true "emo" album yet. So to fill in the gap and to avoid pissing off genre purists I present to you the debut LP by the British band Human Hands called s/t lp. Confusing name, I know, but this genre is just as confusing so I suppose it's appropriate. Human Hands on the other hand stylize their sound similar to that of 90's emo sound before Fall Out Boy came waltzing in and messed everything up.

The record is light on the vocals, to which they only appear at the most appropriate of times to allow the instrumentation to build up the atmosphere of the tracks. When they do arrive though, they're presented in a spoken/shout style with a lot of restraint to further power the instrumental drive of the album. The instrumentation on the other hand is modest and subtle, with a lot of the melody being focused on utilizing the previously mentioned modest and subtle sound to create a driving melodic and emotive force. The album offers an uplifting experience with it's quiet and modest beauty, and it's just similar enough to classic emo bands of the 90's that you can find something in here worth listening to.

You can stream and download s/t lp here. It is offered as a free download on Bandcamp and because the links to the physical copies of this album are now turning up as 404's on their respective stores. I can only say enjoy the free record, and if you can find a way to support this band than more power to you. You can also share this album with your friends, emo music is still cool. Right? Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Rozwell Kid - Too Shabby [Rock/Emo]

I just wanna be happy...
Don't let the album title deceive you, Rozewell Kid's newest LP is a marvel in pop rock with a sound and style akin to that of Weezer's The Blue Album. Nothing is shabby about it, on the contrary this is a great album with a welcoming "I don't care attitude" clashing with a "Nothing is going to be alright" subject matter in a well balanced and admirable way. This album sounds fun, it's writing looks fun, but in reality this album is nothing but depressing, but it capture's the feelings of depression and loneliness in a such an upbeat and perverted way that it makes it stand out from other albums in it's genre.

"Simpsons season 3 and a thing of hummus, this is all I need. I'm like, super low-maintenance." It says in the intro track Kangaroo Pocket, then follows it up with, "Every now and then I wonder why, jut a little bit." The rest of the album follows suit with a collection of sarcastic, low-brow comments along with questions of confusion and uncertainty. "I say I'm sorry when I'm helping you out, I don't know. I say I'm sorry when I open the door, I don't know." It feels like you're listening to a human being just talking, talking in a frustrated and convoluted mess and it creates a beautiful record. The rest of the album delivers in a consistent array, with a mixture of genres and styles that keep your intrigue for the album strong through out. There is a lot more about Too Shabby that could be said, though sometimes it's better that you experience it yourself.

You can stream, download, or buy Too Shabby here. If you like this album consider supporting Rozwell Kid by throwing a few coins their way or by purchasing the physical release of this album in Vinyl or CD. You can also share this album with your friends who might get a rush of nostalgia from this album. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Milhouse - Everything's Coming Up... [Punk]

Are we all really that stupid...
Before I start saying anything about this album, can we all just take a moment to appreciate what is quite possibly the best band/album name tie up in all of music history? Ok, done appreciating? Anyways, Everything's Coming Up is a fun little EP by a fun little punk band filled with a whole lotta fun songs. Though what makes it interesting is that the subject matter of these songs are odd and very literal, while still having a sense of metaphorical content. The instrumentals on the other hand contain a lot of bouncy riffs and infectious drumming that only further makes the EP engaging to listen to. I'd say it's an EP worth picking up even on it's name alone, even though the actual content is great too.

You can stream, download, or buy Everything's Coming Up... here. If you liked this EP consider supporting Milhouse with any and all future projects by throwing a few coins their way or by purchasing their other EP's. You could even share this EP with your friends, because your friends adore Simpsons references I presume. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

VOLA - Inmazes [Progressive Rock]

You, are you burning out...
So Dredg, Periphery, and Nothing More all have a child after an unfortunate night of heavy drinking and it's baby is VOLA. Ignore how this analogy doesn't make much sense and pay attention to this quartets debut album Inmazes. This album combines a mix of progressive rock elements to more harsher metal riffs and melodies, with a fine touch of electronica elements to give the album it's own unique twist. There isn't really much more for me to say other than this is an engaging and heavy album that is worth checking out.

You can stream, download, or buy Inmazes here. If you liked this album, consider supporting VOLA with any and all future projects by throwing a few coins their way or by supporting their two previous EP's that can be found on their page. You can even share this album with your friends, because everyone loves heavy electronic progressive metal rock stuff. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Aivi & Surasshu - The Black Box [Chiptune]

Piano + Chiptune = Beauty
Aivi & Surasshu have made a name for themselves in the past year as they're the leading producers of the soundtrack for Cartoon Network's Steven Universe. Lead by a human and a robot, the story behind this video game loving duo came to light when archaeologist Aivi unearthed an ancient artifact containing the shape shifting robot Surasshu who is on the run from governments looking to control his powers.

Of course, this is all a fictional story. Though im about 90% certain you guys already knew that. In reality Aivi & Surasshu create a captivating blend of chiptune and piano melodies that blend into one in blissful synergy. Along with a fun and beautiful collection of  piano and chiptune fusions is a 20 page comic that comes free with the download, even though it doesn't appear that it has continued as the duo was picked up for Steven Universe a few months later it's still a fun little read.

You can stream, download, or buy The Black Box here. If you like what you hear, consider supporting this robot and human by throwing a few coins in their way or by supporting their work by watching Steven Universe on cartoon network. You could even share this album with your friends, they'll probably like chiptune music... right? Jut remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Haywyre - TwoFold Pt. 1 [Electronic/Jazz]

The time you had is up...
You know what electronic music needed more of? Jazz man. Maybe not so much saxophones and trumpets and stuff, even though that would be cool. Though maybe more like the more technical and smoother side to jazz music. Oh wait, I just described electronic artist Haywyre. Those who aren't familiarized with the name Haywyre should know a little about him, originally starting out with a jazz trio Martin Vogt slowly grew into the electronic music genre when he probably thought one day "let's get some jazz up in this bitch" and that is how Haywyre was born.

TwoFold is the debut album by Haywyre, and a damn fine one at that. Haywyre's blend of organic instrumentals with groovy basslines and glitchy synthesizers create a vast amount of unique and killer tunes. Haywyre's skill with his mixture of jazz and glitch hop isn't like any other I've seen... or heard I guess. TwoFold also explores a variety of genres and styles rather it be glitch hop, orchestral arrangements, future bass, and more. If you're the kind of fellow who has been looking for some more variety in mainstream electronic music then Haywyre is your go-to fellow.

You can stream or download TwoFold here. If you like this album consider supporting Haywyre by purchasing the album over here. You can also support Haywyre by purchasing his other EP's and singles from his bandcamp page and Monstercat Media's catalogue. Or you could share this album with your friends, even if they might not like electronic music because they're close minded. Just remember that a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Brandtson - Dial In Sounds [Alternative/Rock]

I'll start at the end...
Brandtson had created a very dedicated fanbase in the late 90's and early 2000's before their split, even if they never had any relative mainstream success. Or at least, I think that's the case. I wasn't exactly the kind of person to listen to obscure music since I was about 3 at the time so basically I'm just making stuff up. Though I digress, because this post isn't about my shoddy introduction writing and is all about Brandtson and why their album Dial In Sounds should be in your hands.

Why should you own a copy of Brandtson's album? Well reason one is that it's a free album, not that I'm telling you to not support the artists, but hey free music! Second is that Brandtson craft a fun rock album with enough catchy riffs and melodies set with some insightful songwriting. Third is that the group's vocalist is just calming to listen to. Dial In Sounds fits right in with the late 90's emo/rock records with the likes of Weezer, Third Eye Blind, Ozma, Jimmy Eat World, and others. Go check it out if you haven't yet!

You can stream, download, or buy Dial In Sounds over here. If you enjoyed this album consider supporting Brandtson and Deep Elm Records by throwing a few coins their way or by purchasing other albums by Brandtson. You could even share this album with your friends! Who doesn't like late 90's emo rock besides a lot of people? Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Anthony Fantano - Anthony FanFiction Vol. 1

Because I'm totally not running out of albums to showcase at all... >.>
I actually have about 10 albums that I'm still writing half-assed and very vague buzzword filled descriptions for that say the same thing over and over in hopes that none of you notice because I'm dangling free music in front of your faces. The only reason I'm even letting you all know why such a thing exists was because I first heard it at 2 in the morning and it made me giggle like a little school girl. For those who don't know Anthony Fantano is an internet reviewer who reviews a whole lot of different albums on his youtube channel The Needle Drop and just like any other critic he get's a lot of hate at times for having some negative opinions on certain albums from time to time.

Somehow it got to the point where people actually wrote fan fiction about him and he narrated them and put them on Bandcamp and now they're here. So just go check them out and laugh, or cringe terribly and leave my blog because you hate what I've given you. Now if this collection of spoken word fan fics doesn't tickle your fancy there is a rap about hot cocoa on Anthony's release page along with a collab with Pink Guy and Filthy Frank so I guess those could be worth checking out.

You know the drill, you can buy or download or throw coins and share with your friends here. If you haven't seen any of Anthony's videos then that's not really my problem. Do you expect me to link you to his videos? Youtube isn't open in my tabs at the moment and I am far too lazy to actually pull it up for you so just type in The Needle Drop and you'll probably find a review of him talking about Death Grips or some other /mu/core album that everyone stopped caring about and I need to stop talking now because this is become a long rant instead of an album showcase.

Ok, bye.

Savant - Invasion [Electronic]

Because sometimes you just need to have fun...
Most may be familiar with the name Savant, the moniker adapted by the self proclaimed musical-savant Aleksander Vinter. A man who has claimed to have created over 10,000 songs through the course of only a couple of years Savant's versatility in style and genre along with his constant slew of song releases make his claims of such a hefty amount of compositions not that far fetched. Just take a look at his albums ZION and Invasion, released only a month between each other both albums hold an incredibly large amount of songs though thankfully Savant made one of them free for the fans.

Invasion, not to be confused with the other Invasion I talked about a day ago, is a collection 18 incredibly fun and unique EDM tunes that fly in and out of genres and styles on a whim while still tying them all together in a cohesive and easily digestible listen. You will pick up many different genres in each track, like Upgrade which has a brilliant blend of melbourne bounce and progressive house or tracks like Basement or Desperado which have sounds that simple genre brands couldn't even begin to describe.

If you're looking for a fun and exciting EDM with a unique sound that is usually lacking from the market then Invasion is for you. You can stream, download, or buy Invasion here. If you liked Invasion consider throwing a few coins in Savant's way or support him with the purchase of SAVANT COMPLETE which is a 187 song compilation of all his releases under the Savant name for the price of 75. You could also share Invasion with your friends, just make sure to keep it away from your crazier ones because that All Seeing Eye may make them uncomfortable. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

John Glam - Sky of No Stars [Acoustic/Folk]

And you were so far away...
I seem to be a sucker for artists who have really calm sounding music backed up by incredibly disturbing song writing. Should I be concerned about this? Answer is I don't know, but I do know that you should listen to John Glam's album Sky of No Stars. What is Sky of No Stars you are probably asking? Well it's no walk in the kiddie park thats for sure. Unless your parks had a bunch of stuff about people dying, then I guess it is a walk in the park, but I digress.

John Glam has the voice of an angel, an angel with a very similar sounding voice to Justin Fustenfeld of Blue October may I add but a voice of an angel nonetheless. He also writes songs that are very sad and feelsy. While there is the usual of heart break or death, there is also a lot of dark and disturbing writing that sets him apart from other songwriters who also happen to dabble in heartbreak and death. I could say more about this album but considering it's free you're going to check it out anyways and I want to go watch Steven Universe so just take my word that it's a good album and go get it.

You can stream, download, or buy Sky of no Stars here. If you like Sky of no Stars consider supporting John Glam by throwing a few coins his way. Or dollars, I mean, how cruel would it be to throw 12 pennies at someone who probably spent months making something? You could also share this album with your friends, they might be able to relate to someone who had a relative who fell down a shaft and died. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3
