Paul White - Street Lights (Feat. Danny Brown) [Electronic/Hip-Hop]

British hip hop instrumentalist and electronic artist Paul White teams up with Detroit rapper Danny Brown for what could only be called the oddest match up ever. Any of those familiar with the works of the two would know that their styles of music are incredibly black and white. Paul White's biggest focus on noisy electronic noise shouldn't exactly match up well with Danny Brown's loud and frantic style of rapping.

Surprisingly enough though, Paul White and Danny Brown somehow overcome the "shouldn't be" and create a rather stellar single. While the two have collabed before on Danny Brown's second studio album XXX Paul White's contributions on that record was incredibly different compared to the kind of material he usually produces. Though this time around Paul White feels like he is in a comfortable environment and Danny Brown himself brings the usual high caliber energy that made him rise up quickly in the world of hip-hop.

Street Lights is a dark track with a pulsating amount of energy. Much like traveling down the roads of Detroit with, well, no streetlights. Danny Brown delivers a heavy and powerful line throughout the track while Paul White's layers of textures breathes life into the track's dark atmosphere. This single also includes a remix by Dabrye who gives it a smoother twist that is just as effective as the original track. Any fan of Danny Brown or Paul White will enjoy adding this one to their collection.

You can stream, download, or buy Street Lights here. If you liked this single consider supporting Danny Brown, Paul White, and Dabrye by throwing a few coins their way or by purchasing the official LP or 12" vinyl. You could even share this track with your friends! Who knows, maybe your friends will dig no street lights. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3
