Rabbit Junk - Invasion [Hardclash]

I can't see the lines no more...
2014 showed the return of Rabbit Junk, the once industrial duo that fell off the radar of relevancy in 2010 after Project Neocon's release when Pop That Pretty Thirty was dropped with little word from the duo. And if that EP was showing that Anderson and Gurl still had their energy than Invasion is showing that energy going HARD.

Right from the start of the first track we meet with a heavy clash of low tuned guitars and skittering synths playing the backdrop to Anderson's screaming.  The rest of the EP continues to launch the energy of the first track through the atmosphere with crazy sounds that as described by Anderson are "film score-gabber-D&B-shizit style digipunk, trap-death metal-femme fatal, and disco-subverted pop-big riff-new wave. With four brand new tracks and a fun remix from Cyanotic this is an EP that you don't want to miss out on.

You can stream, download, or buy Invasion here. If you like this EP consider supporting Rabbit Junk by throwing a few coins their way or buying their previous albums and singles. Or you could share this album with your friends. Who knows, maybe your friends dig bands named after animal genitals. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Molly Rythm - The Devil Never Comes [Ska Punk]

Over and over again...
Ska and it's more hardcore sister ska-punk have become incredibly neglected genres as of late. The only releases you ever expect to see from these once powerful genres are the veterans or those who fuse it with more accessibly mainstream sounds. Molly Rhythm on the other hand take all of this into account and then toss it right out the window. Because who needs to follow rules and constraints when you can do anything you want?

There haven't been many bands that have been able to capture a "IDGAF I do what I wan't" feeling and authority these days like Molly Rhythm have been able to with this incredible album. There is plenty of energy in the record too with high energy riffs and groovy basslines to keep your attention there with every passing song. Many different genres and styles clash such as ska, punk, metal, screamo, and even rap for an incredibly unorthodox album that gets lost in itself and brings forward non-stop fun for it's audience.

You can stream, download, or buy The Devil Never Comes here. If you liked The Devil Never Comes consider supporting Molly Rhythm by throwing a few coins their way to help support any and all future releases. You could even share this album with your friends. Who knows, maybe your mates enjoy metal punk hip hop skacore. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

C418 - little things [Electronic/Ambient]

It's the little things in life you have to appreciate...
You may not be familiar with the name C418, but there is no doubt you're familiar with his work. C418 is the composer of Minecraft's soundtrack, his calm and peaceful compositions have made his work instantly familiarized in a calm and (mostly) peaceful world like Minecraft. Though C418 has created other compositions that are sadly overlooked most of the time. Little Things is a great example of what C418 is truly capable of with production.

The tracks are incredibly lovely, many different kinds of genres and style mix and blend into songs that are easy going and very calming. The kind of tracks you would put on if you needed to focus on something or even if you just wanted to relax. C418 presents a lot of different instruments to his synth work, pianos, bongos, violins, and other instruments bring in a lot of depth and texture to the progressive beats in such a beautiful way. Even though these songs were discarded projects they all work together stand alone songs and are the kind of tracks you just gotta put on, sit back, and relax.

You can stream, buy, or download little things here. If you liked this album consider supporting C418 by throwing a few coins his way or by buying the official Minecraft Beta and Alpha soundtracks. You could even share this album with your friends! Who knows, maybe they like to chill to ambient stuff. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Busdriver - Arguments With Dreams [Hip-Hop]

I don't know how to raise children, I only know how to raise money...
Busdriver is... weird. Though even "weird" doesn't really start to describe this abstract hip hop artist. Though I don't think I really need to tell you these things since you probably pieced that together yourself from the album cover. Anyways, Busdriver has managed to keep a dedicated underground fanbase since his release Temporary Forever back in 2003. Though as years have gone by, Busdriver has became more and more abstract as an artist. With incredibly interesting production and enough head scratching lyrics to make people like Aesop Rock wonder what the hell Busdriver is talking about.

Arguments With Dreams which is a set up to the critically acclaimed 2014 album Perfect Hair and here all logic is thrown out the window for a beautifully chaotic record. Many unorthodox ideas are present on the records, such as the broken 8-Bit instrumentals randomly thrown in through out Public Grope or the simply insane mixes of noise on tracks like Everyday Oblivion and Serrated Blade of a Smile. Then of course, the completely abstract lyrics of the album cannot be left un-noted. The writing of Arguments With Dreams presents an incredibly large amount of odd metaphors and almost nonsensical lines. While this album may not be everyone's cup of tea it is certainly one worth a spin.

You can stream, download, or buy Arguments With Dreams here. If you liked this album consider supporting Busdriver by throwing a few coins his way or purchasing his brand new album Perfect Hair. You could even share this album with your friends. Who knows, maybe they like songs about public groping set to the tune of broken NES chiptune. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

The Antlers - Cold War [Alternative]

I can't feel a thing...
The Antlers have gathered quite the cult following for their ability to capture the hearts of it's listeners with gut wrenching song writing and hauntingly beautiful instrumentals, even the less interested. Though before The Antlers had gained that following with Hospice they had released a series of EP's where they experimented with their sounds as they had just become a full fledged band (The Antlers was originally the solo project of vocalist Peter Silberman) Cold War was their first release together of the group and it presents a major contrast of who they are now.

It's interesting to see where the group's roots came from. An incredibly quiet and humble record that relied on little words and small theatrics. The solemn and depressing tone that the first track of Cold War sets up remains through the tracks of this EP, it creates a strong feeling of emptiness. Much like Peter's as he wallows over East River Berlin War "I can't feel a thing" over and over. The simplicity of the tracks bring out a lot of beauty that wouldn't of been there if these tracks were made any other way, and that's what makes Cold War such an outstanding EP. It was the building grounds of what would lead on to be one of the most captivating and incredible groups of all time, and it's an EP you don't want to miss out on.

You can stream, download, or buy Cold War here. If you liked Cold War consider supporting The Antlers by throwing a few coins their way or by supporting their brand new album Familiars. Or you could even try sharing this EP with your friends. Who knows, maybe your friends are into really depressing music! Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Anderson .Paak - Cover Art [Pop/RnB]

Love isn't always on time...
Anderson .Paak created an interesting concept with Cover Art. Taking the tracks of rock legends such as The Beatles, The White Stripes, Neil Young, and others then giving them a soulful alternative RnB twist similar to what artists back then did with classic jazz and soul tracks.

Each track on Cover Art feels incredibly unique and original despite them being covers. The complete make overs of all instrumentals along with Paak's smooth vocals blend into a blissful mix of catchy and breath taking. Rather it be the poppy piano and catchy basslines on The Beatle's Blackbirds or the emotionally captivating duet between Paak and Roquel Rodriguez on Toto's Hold The Line. There is an incredibly fine variety of heart felt covers that make this EP worth getting no questions asked.

You can stream, download, or buy Cover Art here. If you like the EP consider supporting Anderson .Paak by throwing some coins in Paak's way or by purchasing one of Paak's other albums like LOVEJOY. You could even share this EP with your friends. Who knows, maybe they like soulful remakes of classic rock songs. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Pegboard Nerds - The Lost Tracks EP [Electronic]

*Insert bass growl here*
Fans of the ever prominent EDM label Monstercat Media will instantly recognize the Pegboard Nerds considering they're the labels 2nd biggest artist. Of course, over their career they've managed to release a lot of songs, and sometimes those songs are hard to keep up with. Eventually things get lost, forgotten, or just simply removed from the internet as a whole. That's why the nerds, in association with Monstercat Media, released a fun little EP with the songs previously released by the duo but eventually forgotten about and having limited access to.

The Lost Tracks EP is composed of 6 tracks. Five hard to access tracks from the duo and one of the releases from the label. All of the tracks on this EP are incredibly fun to listen to, with different genres of music to taste such as dubstep, electro, and glitch hop. If you're a fan of electronic music this is an EP you should check out.

You can stream, download, or buy The Lost Tracks EP here. If you liked this EP, consider throwing a few coins in Pegboard Nerd's way by supporting the EP or by purchasing one of the many compilation albums that the group appears on. Or you could even share this EP with your friends. Who knows, maybe they like some heavy wubs. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Paul White - Street Lights (Feat. Danny Brown) [Electronic/Hip-Hop]

British hip hop instrumentalist and electronic artist Paul White teams up with Detroit rapper Danny Brown for what could only be called the oddest match up ever. Any of those familiar with the works of the two would know that their styles of music are incredibly black and white. Paul White's biggest focus on noisy electronic noise shouldn't exactly match up well with Danny Brown's loud and frantic style of rapping.

Surprisingly enough though, Paul White and Danny Brown somehow overcome the "shouldn't be" and create a rather stellar single. While the two have collabed before on Danny Brown's second studio album XXX Paul White's contributions on that record was incredibly different compared to the kind of material he usually produces. Though this time around Paul White feels like he is in a comfortable environment and Danny Brown himself brings the usual high caliber energy that made him rise up quickly in the world of hip-hop.

Street Lights is a dark track with a pulsating amount of energy. Much like traveling down the roads of Detroit with, well, no streetlights. Danny Brown delivers a heavy and powerful line throughout the track while Paul White's layers of textures breathes life into the track's dark atmosphere. This single also includes a remix by Dabrye who gives it a smoother twist that is just as effective as the original track. Any fan of Danny Brown or Paul White will enjoy adding this one to their collection.

You can stream, download, or buy Street Lights here. If you liked this single consider supporting Danny Brown, Paul White, and Dabrye by throwing a few coins their way or by purchasing the official LP or 12" vinyl. You could even share this track with your friends! Who knows, maybe your friends will dig no street lights. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Fox Stevenson - Turn It Up EP [DnB/Dubstep]

And maybe, "maybe" means never...
Fox Stevenson is an incredibly unique artist in the EDM mix pot. Not so much from the production of his tunes, which depending on what EP we're talking about his can be rather original (Endless and All This Time come to mind) or rather generic (Throwdown) What does makes Fox Stevenson so different from his peers on the other hand is first of the inclusion of his own vocals in every track he produces along with some usually complex lyrics. For those who listen to EDM they usually know the usual drill when it comes to the inclusion of vocalists in a track. Hire a girl to provide some usually bland lyrics about love and then fling headfirst into the drop.

Fox Stevenson on the other hand moves away from that, blending his vocals with high voltage DnB, dubstep, and other forms of electronic music. While the Turn It Up EP is a more straight forward slice in the EDM world Fox Stevenson does provide a strong amount of charisma with his vocals and lyrics that blend in perfectly with the infectiously catchy basslines and jazzy melodies of each of the tracks. Turn It Up is an electronic power house of fun and one that should be in any EDM fan's library.

You can stream, download, or buy Turn It Up here. If you liked this EP, consider supporting Fox Stevenson by purchasing his newest EPs or by throwing a few coins his way. Or you could even share this EP with your friends! Who knows, maybe your friends dig jazzy dubstep tracks. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Warren of Ohms - The Wolf and The Fox [Hardcore/Math Rock]

I just want something different, I'm sorry...
Warren of Ohm's is a one man solo project with the energy and power of a full fledged group. What Warren of Ohms' mastermind Sammy Gurule cites as "my thee year relationship failing" for his theme of The Wolf and The Fox and it clearly shows. The album shows an incredibly dark atmosphere in it's mix of loud and melodically driven guitars and percussion clashing and mixing with Gurule's sometimes screaming sometimes calming vocals in a furious range of emotion.

Each song on Wolf and Fox has it's own special story, most which the author provides within the descriptions of each of the songs. Many different themes and ideas are explored and many of them are driven home through the shifting styles of craftsmanship through each song. It's the music itself that drives the story through each step that truly captures the beauty of Wolf and Fox. While it may not be an album for everyone, especially for those who aren't fond of harsher vocals its still one that needs a listen regardless.

You can stream, download, or buy The Wolf and The Fox here. If you wish to support the HALO (Helping Animals Live On) Foundation, the organization that 100% of all album proceeds will be going to you may wish to do so by supporting the album. Or you can share this album with your friends! Who knows, maybe your friends are into loud music and saving adorable animals. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Lectures - Recycled Words [Emo/Pop Punk]

But I caved again...
The North Carolinian group Lectures are that right kind of sad and campy lot of music that are fun to listen to when you're feeling a little bit down. Recycled Words is the group's debut EP about heartbreak and becoming a better person. While I won't claim that they're anything extraordinary they are a group that are worth a few spins at least. They're easily a band that shows potential, and their later releases have shown that potential that can be tapped in. Check it out!

You can stream, download, or buy Recycled Words here. If you liked the album, consider supporting Lectures by throwing a few coins their way to help support any and all future projects. You could even share them with your friends! Who knows, maybe they're into feel good pop punk music. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Nicole Dollanganger - Curdled Milk [Folk/Acoustic]

I'll love all your demons, because now they're my demons, too...
Nicole Dollanganger is no normal artist, make no mistake of that. She comes in as a wolf in sheep's clothing, soft and angelic in appearance but the deeper you go the more you discover just how dark and corrupt she truly is. Curdled Milk is an incredibly disturbing album with it's songwriting exploring extremely messed up subject matter.

"Lately I can’t recognize you, the doctors lied when they said they saved you, you’re just the shell of the boy that you've been, and you’re dying, I can feel it."

Though what really takes the creepiness of this album to the next level is how Nicole presents her music. Every song on this album is presented with a soft, angelic voice. One filled with child-like innocence and calm that reflects the often empty atmosphere of the instrumentals which usually are only simple and quiet guitar chords. They add a whole new level of feeling and context to the dark subject matter in a way that not many artists can capture. Curdled Milk is a surreal experience to say the least, and it's one that deserves your attention.

You can stream, download, or buy Curdled Milk here. If you wish to support Nicole Dollanganger consider throwing a few coins her way by purchasing her albums. Or you could even share this album with your friends! Who knows, maybe they like songs about beating people to death. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

The Republic Of Wolves - Covers (Vol. 1) [Alternative Rock]

Because SOMEONE had to cover Blank Space...
Have you ever wondered what it would sound like if Brand New covered Limp Bizkit and Taylor Swift? If you've answered no then you have clearly never lived life. Now sadly, this isn't a Brand New cover album but its close enough... I guess? The Republic Of Wolves are an alternative rock band that started gaining attention in 2010 when a YouTuber uploaded one of their songs (Cardinals) under the pretense of it being a Brand New demo. They've in turn met with moderate success and have gained a rather dedicated fanbase.

Covers is a collection of acoustic covers of popular songs that were requested by fans of the group. On it you'll hear just about anything from Thrice to Limp Bizkit to Touche Amore to even artists like Beyonce and Taylor Swift. One would think that with such an oddball mix of different artists and genres that the group would have some difficulty covering them though Republic of Wolves does an excellent job with covering each and every song featured on this collection while making them sound like their own. If your a fan of cover compilations and need a new group to get into, then Covers is a no-brainer.

You can stream, download, or buy Covers here. If you liked this album, consider throwing a few coins in the band's direction to help support any and all future projects. You could even share this album with your friends! Who knows, maybe they'll like jamming out to Bon Iver covers on guitars. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Casey & Cora - Martyrs [Alternative/Post-Rock]

If she's anything like love I'll take my chances alone...
Martyrs is a perfectly concise record. With an incredible blend of dense instrumentation with powerful melodic drive swimming in a dark and depressive atmosphere Martyrs is an album where each track will leave you hanging for the next second much like the noose on the album's cover. Martyrs follows many themes of isolation, loneliness, and heartbreak not just through its rather poetic lyrics but along with it's instrumentation itself which sets it apart with other albums of it's kind.

The tracks of this album are incredibly light on instrumentation, the most happening at a time are guitar lines and percussion which set up the isolated feeling of the album incredibly well. The lead vocalist of the group also displays an incredible talent, transitioning through spot on pitches and light yells that play a smooth complement to the instrumentals of the album. While only 6 tracks, all of them provide an incredible amount of entertainment for the listener.

You can stream, download, or buy Martyrs here. If you liked this album consider supporting Casey & Cora by throwing a few coins their way to help support any and all upcoming projects. Or you can share this album with friends! Who knows, maybe they like dark and moody albums or are noose enthusiasts! Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

PERTURBATOR - Dangerous Days [Electronic/80's Synthwave]

I want your love tonight...

Perturbator may be a familiar name to those who have played the immensely popular indie game Hotline Miami. James Kent, the mastermind behind the man of the night Perturbator has spent the last few years of his career developing the story of Perturbator, a man fighting for survival in a future where humanity has been erased by machines led by the computer program SATAN. The third album of this trilogy, Dangerous Days, follows Perturbator confronting the program SATAN and freeing humanity from it's destruction.

Most of the album is told through full electronic arrangements, with a fine blend of clean progressive synths and heavily textured rave tracks akin to the movies and culture of 80's Sci-Fi and metal music. There is a lot of fun to be had for those who can buy into the concept and gimmick of James Kent's music. The world painted by the Perturbator albums are dark and mysterious, filled thick with heavy and dark atmosphere created by the electronic arrangements present through the album. This, along with the other albums offered by James Kent's mind are a fine collection of tracks that you do not want to miss out on.

You can stream, download, or buy Dangerous Days hereIf you liked Dangerous Days consider supporting James Kent with any and all future projects by throwing a few coins in his direction. You could also buy a hoodie or shirt from the album page, get his other albums which are also free, or buy and play Hotline Miami. you can also share this album with your friends, because who doesn't like album covers with naked women? Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Typhoon - A New Kind of House [Folk/Rock]

I will pay my debts, I will start anew...
Typhoon is an intriguing band to say the least, mainly because the alternative would keep us here all day. Kyle Morton, the lead vocalist of Typhoon, ties all of his writing back to the "bug that bit him" which refers to a tic that gave him an undiagnosed case of Lyme Disease that robbed him of his childhood and life in general.
On the verge of death after years of destruction, a light came from his father who donated one of his own kidneys to combat the failing organs inside Kyle's immune system. It was an experience that not many people would want to go through, though for Kyle Morton it opened his eyes up to life on an entirely different level. Typhoon's music explores many themes of life, death, loss, and disappointment while maintaining a theatrical sense of optimism. Typhoon is composed of 12 members, all who play a very big part in the composition of each song while providing small layers of complexity to them. A New Kind of House on the other hand is a far more "optimistic" album in both sound and song writing from the group's previously darker release Hunger/Thirst.

There is a lot I wish I could say about this EP, but sadly it's just one that I'm not capable of discussing about and giving it justice. Just take my word on it when I say this is one of the best EP's to be released in many, many years and is worth every bit of your attention along with the rest of Typhoon's discography.

You can stream, download, or buy A New Kind of House here. If you like this EP consider supporting the band Typhoon by throwing a few coins their way or by purchasing their newest album Artificial Light. Or better yet, try introducing the album to your friends because this is one release everyone should be hearing. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

AZEDIA - Blood [Electronic/Chillout/Post-Dubstep]

People may be familiarized with this duo's work from their releases on the electronic indie label Monstercat Media. Granted, the rock based dubstep singles they've released before are, in contrast, overwhelmingly different from the content they've released as of late. For an example, look no further than their latest of releases Blood.

Blood is a mellow track with plenty of dark overtones to reel you in. Simplistic percussion and a mixture of cooing vocal chops rule the majority of the track though there are also many beautiful sections of simplistic instrumentation from synths to a closing guitar solo that fits the track's chilled style. It's easily one of the more unique electronic songs I've heard in a while and is worth a listen from anyone who likes more experimental tracks.

You can stream, download, or buy AZEDIA's single Blood here. If you wish to support AZEDIA in any and all future projects consider throwing a few coins their way by supporting this track or by purchasing AZEDIA's debut album Life Goes On. You could even share this track with your friends, who knows, maybe they'll like dark minimal tracks. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3

Thom Yorke - Youwouldn'tlikemewhenI'mangry [Electronic]

The mastermind behind the multimillion selling alternative rock band Radiohead himself! Thom Yorke's musical evolution from moody heart break jams like Creep to where he is today shows just how far an artist can mature in musical versatility. Alongside the release of his second solo album Tomorrow's Modern Boxes, Thom Yorke also released a new single titled Youwouldn'tlikemewhenI'mangry which follows very closely to the sound and style of his second album.

Textured with both flat and heavy computer generated percussions and Thom's mellow and relaxed singing taking on it's own form of instrumental implementation Yorke's newest single is one that any fan of his solo work or later Radiohead releases will enjoy.

You can stream, download, or buy Youwouldn'tlikemewhenI'mangry here. If you liked this single, consider supporting Thom Yorke buy buying his single or by buying the album Tomorrow's Modern Boxes to support any or all future projects. Maybe you should share it with your friends, people still like Radiohead I think. Just remember, a little support and a little word of mouth goes a long way! <3
